Each Presbyterian congregation elects
officers who govern their church. These officers are the Session and are
responsible for making most decisions relating to the congregation’s
life and welfare.
When a member is ordained and installed as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA, their term of service is 3 years. During their term, they are referred to as Ruling Elders. After serving their three years, individuals remain Elders but will be considered inactive until such time as they may be re-elected. The Session of Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection consists of 3 classes of 4 Elders each. Currently serving as Ruling Elders are:
