Pastor Leigh Jones joined us on August 18th.  She was ordained and installed on October 5th.

Administrative Assistant is Linda Moon has been on staff for over 20 years.  If you want to know something, she has the answers.

Lee Watkins is an accountant and has served as our Treasurer for many years.

Judy Watkins is Director of our Resurrection Bell Choir and serves as substitute organist.

David Brinson is our new Music Director and we are excited to have him, along with his wife Kelli.

Keeping our facilities clean and orderly is Carrie Chewning who recently replaced the retiring Artie Gibson as custodian.

Then there are the Organizations which provide multiple opportunities for service within the congregation itself, our community and extend into the world.

The Men-of-the-Church (MOC) organization is open to all men.  They meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month for breakfast, programs and special projects.  The men sponsor many activities during the year including golf, basketball, baseball, spring and fall Bar-B-Q's.  They are also pro-active in maintenance for the building and grounds.

The Presbyterian Women (PW) meet four times per year as a group and all women are invited.  PW sponsors many activities throughout the year which gives everyone an opportunity to participate in one form or another.

Within the PW, there are 4 Circles which meet monthly.  Some groups meet in homes and some vary their locations to be convenient to all their members:

Circle #1 meets only on special occasions, but they are strong in heart!  Chair is Virginia Nicholson.

Circle #2 meets on the 2nd Tuesday for lunch and fellowship.  Chair is Mary Jo Dowling.

Circle #3 on the 3rd Monday for Bible study at 7 pm.  Chair is Becky Tate.

Circle #4 meets on the 2nd Thursday evening at 7 pm.  Chair is Jordan Winters.

Circle #5 every 3rd Sunday at 1:30 for lunch and Bible study.   Chair is Eloise Jones.

Our Youth Group schedule if flexible based on the number of young adults participating at any given time.  Their activities include outings, inside projects and service programs.  They have worked in disaster relief efforts and for the Clifton Night Shelter.

Music is an important element of worship at Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection.  The Music Ministry consists of a Chancel Choir for adult singers and a Bell Choir for adult ringers.  The Resurrection Bells rehearse every Wednesday evening at 6:30 followed by the Chancel Choir at 7:30.

Sometimes our ringers get started at a very young age!

A children's chorus is organized for special occasions and times of the year to give our children an opportunity to learn about worship through music.
